Do you ever find yourself judging others? Maybe over how they are dressed? Maybe how they act because they are different from you? Why do we find ourselves judging another person when we wouldn’t want to be judge. Do we really feel like we have the right? I don’t believe we do because of a little thing called a conscious.
This really goes back to when everyone is a kid. Were you taught to do bad or did it just come naturally? If you stop and think about it, most likely if you did something wrong it just came naturally and no one taught you how to be bad but you probably remember your parents trying to correct you when you were and to teach us to do right.
So back to the judging…why do we do it? Is it possible that we were taught how at a young age to compare ourselves to others, just because the other person may have a better car or a new shirt? Somehow I see a fine line between judging and comparing ourselves to others. It’s really one in the same. We teach our children not to covet yet it’s a natural thing that comes to want what the other person has. Most likely it’s because we push and push our children to do better. We want them to be better than ourselves and go further in life. We want them to go to school and get the best education there is and have the best home there is. Yet where are the values in everyday life. If we took out the drive to push them don’t you imagine they would find there own way and explore the values they already have. Then possibly they wouldn’t compare themselves with the child who has shoes better than them or vice versa. Maybe they wouldn’t have to have the big house to live in, just a roof over there head would do.
We judge others way to fast and we also judge ourselves. Somehow there is a lie in there that says talking about someone will make you feel better. But most don’t feel better after they’ve done it. How can we stop judging others in our lives? I would start by not judging yourself so harshly and to start taking notice when we do start to judge others.
What would the world be like if we lifted each other up instead of judging?
That’s right. I am a dreamer (my husband reminds of this all the time) Always have been and always will be. But what does it really hurt to dream? Absolutely nothing. Dreaming opens up all the paths to new things in life and if anyone stand in the way of something you’ve always dreamed of then they need to moved from your path. You should only surround yourself with like minded people that will will cheer you on! If you’ve always dreamed of being in a certain career, losing a certain amount of weight or buying that dream home, it is attainable! Don’t let the little negative things that may come your way in life get you down or think you aren’t good enough. Just because someone got a job promotion before you or marriage doesn’t mean you aren’t worthy of those things. You are more than enough! Keep on dreaming big!
This is my very first post and wow am I excited! I just wanted to say that just over a year ago I was prophesied to that doors would open for me and boy have they! It really all started with me seeking more healing to the spirit than the physical body. I had been researching the net trying to find connections to all the health issues I was having and somehow came across this Japanese healing technique call Reiki. So I found someone in Tulsa and set up an appointment and from that very moment of my first Reiki encounter I was hooked, not to mention I love my Reiki Master! The relaxation and feedback I received from my energy was amazing. For those that do not know what Reiki is, it is a technique (but I like to call it an art) that started in Japan many years ago. It is done with touch through hand placements by the Reiki practitioner that allows Divine energy to flow through them to your body that promotes healing and relaxation. From my first encounter I knew I needed to explore this art and find out what I could about it. So I did and am now taking classes to be a Reiki Master. I have taken my Reiki I and will have my Reiki II at the end of the month. (Update to follow) Being able to experience the Reiki has been a door that opened for me and is leading me down a path of pure bliss and I can not wait to share my stories! Thank you for reading my first blog post!
